Comment System
Influgen's comment system gives you two modes:
- manual replies for tight control
- auto-reply configuration for scaled engagement
Comment inbox
The comment inbox can be filtered by:
- character
- platform
- reply status
That makes it possible to separate high-priority comments from noise and focus operator time where it matters.
Manual replies
When you reply manually, you can either:
- type the exact response yourself
- leave the reply body empty and let Influgen generate one from the character profile and the incoming comment
Generated replies use the same character voice principles as caption generation, which helps comments feel on-brand instead of generic.

Auto-reply settings
Auto-reply configuration is stored per character and includes:
enabledreply_frequencyblacklist_wordssentiment_filtermax_replies_per_dayplatforms
Current defaults are:
- reply frequency:
manual - sentiment filter:
positive_or_neutral - max replies per day:
10
Why sentiment filters matter
Auto-reply is safest when the system focuses on comments that are constructive, warm, or neutral. Negative or adversarial comments usually need human review, not automation.
Blacklist words
Blacklist words are a simple but effective safety layer. Use them to block:
- spam triggers
- off-brand topics
- restricted words
- phrases likely to escalate a conversation
Best practices
- keep auto-reply conservative until the character voice is proven
- use manual reply for controversial or high-visibility threads
- review replies regularly to see whether the tone still matches the character
