Affiliate Links

Affiliate links are the simplest monetization layer for most AI influencer operations. Influgen lets you attach links directly to a character and track the performance over time.

An affiliate link includes:

  • platform
  • destination URL
  • shortcode
  • click count
  • revenue

When a link is created or updated, Influgen can record the associated revenue event so the revenue dashboard stays in sync.

A single workspace might run beauty, fitness, and lifestyle characters with completely different offers. Storing links at the character level helps you keep attribution clean.

Good usage patterns​

  • one clear offer per content angle
  • shortcodes that map to the actual campaign
  • periodic click and revenue updates if the source platform is external

Validation rules​

Affiliate links require:

  • a platform
  • a valid http or https URL
  • a shortcode

Click counts and revenue cannot be negative. Duplicate shortcodes for the same character are rejected.

Influgen's own affiliate program​

Separate from character links, Influgen also includes a workspace affiliate program for referring paying customers.

Current defaults for that program are:

  • commission rate: 30%
  • approval window: 30 days
  • minimum payout threshold: $50

Use character affiliate links for your creator monetization. Use the workspace affiliate program when you are promoting Influgen itself.
