X / Twitter

X publishing in Influgen is optimized for image posts and image carousels. It works especially well when you want the visual identity of the character but a shorter, more opinionated text layer.

What X supports

Influgen accepts:

  • single-image posts
  • multi-image carousel posts

Video-first content is not the default X path in the current scheduling rules.

Connection flow

X uses OAuth with a dedicated callback-oriented default redirect:

  • default redirect path: /settings/twitter/callback

The typical flow is:

  1. Open Settings > X / Twitter.
  2. Click Connect X / Twitter.
  3. Approve access.
  4. Return through the callback page.
  5. Confirm the connected account and token health.

Why X works differently

X is more text-sensitive than Instagram or Pinterest, so caption quality matters more. This is a good channel to use caption variants aggressively:

  • a punchy version for broad reach
  • a question-led version for replies
  • a story-led version for more context

Asset requirements

X scheduling requires at least one generated image asset. If a content item has no usable image media, scheduling is blocked.

Reconnect behavior

If the token expires, reconnect in Settings and retry the pending entries. Influgen preserves the underlying content so you do not have to rebuild the post.

Best practices

  • keep captions tighter than on Instagram
  • use carousels when one image is not enough to explain the concept
  • match the text style to the character, not to generic "viral tweet" patterns
