Creating Your First Character

Your AI influencer starts with a character. This guide walks you through creating your first one, step by step.

Step 1: Choose a Niche​

When creating a character, you'll first select a niche. This determines the type of content your AI influencer will create.

Available niches include:

  • Fitness - Workout routines, healthy lifestyle, gym content
  • Fashion - Outfits, style tips, trendy looks
  • Lifestyle - Daily routines, wellness, general life content
  • Travel - Destinations, adventures, wanderlust
  • Beauty - Makeup, skincare, beauty tips
  • Food - Recipes, dining, culinary content
  • Technology - Gadgets, tech reviews, digital lifestyle
  • Business - Entrepreneurship, productivity, professional development

Choose a niche that aligns with your goals. You can always create multiple characters in different niches later.

Step 2: Name Your Character​

Give your AI influencer a name. This will be:

  • Displayed in the Influgen dashboard
  • Used as their Instagram handle (if available)
  • Part of their identity and brand

Tips for choosing a name:

  • Keep it memorable and easy to spell
  • Make it relevant to the niche (e.g., "FitAva" for fitness)
  • Check if the Instagram handle is available
  • Avoid names that are too similar to existing influencers

Step 3: Generate Faces​

This is where the magic happens. Influgen uses Nano Banana 2, an advanced AI model, to generate photorealistic faces for your character.

How Face Generation Works:​

  1. Click Generate Faces
  2. The AI creates 4 unique faces in high resolution (2K quality)
  3. Each face is a completely original creation - not based on real people
  4. Generation takes 30-60 seconds

What to Look For:​

  • Natural appearance - Does the face look realistic?
  • Clear features - Are the eyes, nose, and mouth well-defined?
  • Appropriate for niche - Does this face fit your influencer's brand?
  • Appeal - Would your target audience connect with this person?

Don't like the results? You can regenerate faces as many times as you want (each generation costs credits).

Step 4: Select Your Favorite Face​

Once you have your 4 generated faces:

  1. Review each option carefully
  2. Click on the face you want to use
  3. Confirm your selection

Important: Once you select a face, it becomes your character's permanent identity. All future content will feature this face to maintain consistency.

Step 5: Finalize Character Creation​

After selecting a face:

  • Your character is created and saved
  • You're taken to the character dashboard
  • You can now start generating content

Optional: Configure Character Settings​

Before generating content, you might want to:

  • Set up Autopilot mode for automatic posting
  • Adjust posting frequency
  • Choose content language
  • Customize your bio and profile details
