Generating Your First Content

Once you've created a character, it's time to generate content. Influgen automates the entire content creation process, from images to captions to hashtags.

How Content Generation Works​

Influgen's AI creates complete Instagram posts:

  1. Image Generation - AI creates a photorealistic image featuring your character's face
  2. Caption Writing - Creative Director AI writes engaging captions
  3. Hashtag Selection - Relevant, trending hashtags are automatically added
  4. Queue Management - Content is added to your queue, ready to schedule

Generating Sample Content​

Method 1: Quick Generate​

  1. Go to your character's dashboard
  2. Click Generate Content
  3. The AI creates a complete post in 60-90 seconds
  4. Review the result in your content queue

Method 2: Batch Generation​

Generate multiple posts at once:

  1. Click Batch Generate
  2. Choose how many posts to create (e.g., 5, 10, 20)
  3. Wait for all posts to generate
  4. Review your content queue

Credit Cost: Each post generation costs credits based on your plan. Check your credit balance before batch generating.

Understanding the Content Queue​

Your Content Queue is where all generated content lives. Each post shows:

  • Thumbnail - Preview of the generated image
  • Caption excerpt - First line of the caption
  • Status - Draft, Scheduled, Posted, or Failed
  • Actions - Edit, Schedule, Delete

Content Statuses​

  • Draft - Generated but not scheduled
  • Scheduled - Set to post at a specific time
  • Posting - Currently being posted to Instagram
  • Posted - Successfully published
  • Failed - Posting failed (see error message)

Reviewing Generated Content​

Before scheduling or posting, review each piece of content:

Check the Image​

  • Is your character's face consistent and clear?
  • Is the image appropriate for your niche?
  • Does it match Instagram's quality standards?
  • Are there any AI artifacts or glitches?

Review the Caption​

  • Is it engaging and on-brand?
  • Does it match your character's voice?
  • Is there a clear call-to-action?
  • Are emojis used appropriately?

Verify Hashtags​

  • Are they relevant to the content?
  • Do they match your niche?
  • Are they popular enough to drive discovery?
  • Not too generic, not too obscure?

Editing Content​

Don't like something? You can edit:

  1. Click the Edit button on any content item
  2. Modify the caption, hashtags, or regenerate the image
  3. Save your changes

Pro tip: Use the caption A/B testing feature to try multiple variations and see which performs best.

Scheduling Content​

Once you're happy with a post:

  1. Click Schedule on the content item
  2. Choose a date and time
  3. Confirm

Autopilot mode can schedule content automatically based on your preferred posting frequency.

Manual Posting​

Want to post immediately?

  1. Select the content
  2. Click Post Now
  3. The content will be published to Instagram within minutes

Note: Make sure you've connected your Instagram account in Settings.

Regenerating Content​

If you're not happy with generated content:

  • Regenerate image only - Keep the caption, create a new image
  • Regenerate caption - Keep the image, write a new caption
  • Regenerate everything - Start fresh with a new post

Each regeneration costs credits.

Best Practices​

  • Generate content in batches - More efficient than one at a time
  • Build a content buffer - Always have 1-2 weeks of content ready
  • Review before scheduling - AI is good, but human oversight is better
  • Test different styles - Experiment with different caption tones and image types
  • Monitor performance - Learn what works and generate more of it

Troubleshooting​

Generation Failed​

If content generation fails:

  • Check your credit balance
  • Ensure your character has a selected face
  • Try again (temporary server issues happen)
  • Contact support if the issue persists

Image Quality Issues​

If images look blurry or distorted:

  • Regenerate the image
  • Check that your character's face was properly selected
  • Ensure you're on a stable internet connection

Caption Not On-Brand​

If captions don't match your style:

  • Use the Edit feature to adjust the tone
  • Try regenerating for a different option
  • Consider using custom prompt guidance (Pro feature)
